WGI Sport of the Arts is the world’s premier organization producing indoor color guard, percussion, and winds competitions. As a non-profit youth organization, WGI also serves as the governing body for the indoor color guard, percussion, and winds activities. It is called the Sport of the Arts because it brings music to life through performance in a competitive format. Now entering its 44th year in 2021, the sport continues to evolve and grow.

WGI 2024 // A Class Finals Time Lapse
I remember meeting Paul during one of the early wgi contests, he is pretty chill.
So proud of them! They are also the most grateful guard kids! They work so hard and they finally get the scores they deserve ❤❤❤❤
Stanley wrote the body work for our ‘94 & ‘95 WGI show, he said I had good feet. I’m thankful to have met him and worked with him. Thank you for sharing this ❤
I know this is what my son Sean felt when he marched bass drum for Timber Creek Independent in his senior year at Timber Creek HS (Orlando FL)
🌻🌻🌻
Remember watching this at championship and crying. Its still my favorite show. All these years later.
Awesome video! 😀
Wow, I totally remember editing this for WGI 30 years ago...still touching footage.

"MOST" of those are some really SPECTACULAR floors. 😇
i love them!
This was a very good year for Color Guard! Can't wait to see Percussion and Winds!
Hadn’t heard of him until today. Sounds like Stanley Knaub was to colorguard what George Zingali was to drill.
jump scare at 0:08
see you thursday
Hey! I just saw the video trailer..do you by chance know how I can get a copy? I’m gonna check their site as well. Thank you sooo much for sharing! Wow! 34 years ago!
imagine if this happened during wgi?!! haha
This question isn't especially germane to the discussion, but why aren't difficulty and risk POCs on the Scholastic World sheets? I understand them not being on A and Open, because then everyone would be gunning for the same world class skills, and the different classes would therefore become meaningless. But why not in SW? Fear of injury? I feel like with the explosion of Instagram, the kids are doing the high risk skills regardless of them not being fully credited for them.
I suppose I bring this up because sometimes it seems as though we value the Michelle Kwans of the guard world a little too much over the Ilia Malinins. LOL.
"Crash the boards" Love it. Stealing it.
Yup, Yup! It's those little things that make the big things BIGGER. 😇
this is so cool
This is fire!
I had the privilege to have been taught by Shane Gwaltney while at Choctaw HS. He always seen greatness in all of his students at the scholastic and independent level. He never let anyone give up and pushed everyone at their best. Well deserved and happy to see his accomplishments to reach the Hall of Fame congratulations
That Pensacola regional was a beast, it was like a WGI prelim.
Great competition. From mohonasen

Remember the Tin Man!

🔥🔥🔥
FIFTY bodies on the floor?!? in ANY class?!? 🤔🤔🤔
Loved doing this season back in 2019! I was rack :)
This is an absolute goldmine of information. Thank you very much for this. It's exactly what I was looking for as a drumline instructor
It is hard to learn mid season! We had a rehearsal run until 1 AM because we had to learn closer drill the day before a show
To be honest, I have no idea why I have watched all of these videos when I’m neither a director, nor a designer for an indoor group. I guess I’m just excited for the season lol
we lvoe noblesville
Shoutout Cal! He's a real one, and such a great educator.
We first wore ballet shoes in 1979. Entrada...Jasper, Al
west broward should’ve gotten that probably bronze even silver honestly but congrats to all. lots of good shows in sw that year.
The best show ever!
Does anyone know what pieces they used in their score here?
